What Does a Product Record Contain?
A product record is the master definition for an item used in sales, production or shipments. It contains code, name, class, unit, barcode, sales price, tax and status.
The record is not a physical inventory lot. Production output or controlled stock movements create inventory, while the product record defines identity, pricing and label or document presentation.
Tip: Use the product's business code in the interface rather than exposing a technical UUID.
